May 31 May Moves OnYes, May does move on. Here we are on the last day of the month, enjoying just kicking back this evening. Dave's son Paul is here visiting with us, this time in Texas. We're very happy to have him here with us, even though we are working our regular schedule.
We did manage to get down to the JFK memorial museum...The Sixth Floor Book Depository Museum in Dallas. Dave and I had been there before, and Paul wanted to see it. It is rather interesting. I am less interested in the museum exhibits - reading all the stuff - but more into soaking up the atmosphere...the vibes, if you will...of actually being in the place...standing on the same ground...where this all happened.
The weather was pretty nasty that day, with us ending up driving home in rush hour traffic in a pouring rainstorm most of the way. I was pretty well tired that evening.
We've had over 11" of rain this month. Mr. Sun did appear this afternoon for a while, warming things up to a virtual steambath outside.
Lately it seems I don't have much time for introspective/creative things...not many entries to this blog...less time to do my "weird" things as we say...meditation, hold Reiki sessions/classes, be in touch with some of my friends...ah well, I suppose we're still settling in here...this is the end of our third month and so far so good. We seem to work a lot, even on our days off...some of that is to be expected, but we will have to learn to be less accommodating and more protective of our time off.
I miss "my" time and will be striving to reclaim some of that now that we're a bit more settled, basically unpacked finally. I would like to continue my practice of Reiki and need to safeguard "my" time a bit more than I have been lately.
All things come in their own time and happen as they are meant to, so in the meantime will keep cruising along enjoying each day as it comes!
I hope you enjoy the photos I've posted so far of Paul's visit; I'll hopefully taking some more and will get them posted before long.
Peace, strength, love, and light! |
